Freelance writing for this Gen-Z focused online media platform on issues and stories that inform and empower this generation. Topics of coverage have included freedom of expression, climate refugees, deaf rights, and the stigma of eating disorders.
Wrote and edited an online magazine that deals with all things vegan. Ranging from listicles to investigative features on the benefits and concerns of this lifestyle, I helped keep the public up to date with everything there is to know about veganism.

Intern
Icarus Complex Magazine
April 2019-February 2020
Wrote for a bi-annual print magazine and online publication. Icarus Complex deals with how we will cope, as well as offering solutions to climate change - rather than reporting on the problem alone. I also manage its Instagram page, keeping the public up to date with what solutions they can undertake at home too.
Editing pieces for City, University of London's online student magazine, I additionally overlook its social media. It has taught me how to manage a team to provide high quality news content for our students.

Feature writing, live anchoring, creating podcasts, and tracking down vox pops - this course continues to build on these skills this year. Perhaps my most prominent lesson learnt so far has been how to maintain an objective outlook on all aspects of my reporting.
I shadowed financial anchor Carlo Cerutti through the curating of articles, constructing news packages, practising in the editing suites and working studio cameras. It was also a useful insight into Italy's current financial state.

I founded and edited my high school's online paper. My interest in journalism was formed here, through the writing of pieces covering current affairs and humanitarian journalism, as well as series of fictional stories.
I wrote a personal blog dedicated to athletes who wish to power their bodies through plant-based diets. This reflected on my personal struggles as a runner and a vegan too, reaching out to those who can relate.

This enabled me to gain proficient skills in programming, specifically Python, HTML and CSS - as well as abilities in Adobe Photoshop and Premier Pro. Constructing a website from scratch for my final assessment, I was pushed way beyond my capacity but came out fully equipped in the understanding of computing and databases.
